VIDEO: GPD Arrests Suspect in Armed Robbery at Carnival Game Room in Upper Tumon

Guam – Guam Police have arrested June Fejeran of Yona in connection with an armed robbery early this morning [Monday] at the Carnival Game Room in Upper Tumon.

Guam Police Spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that Fejeran has been booked and confined on charges of  Robbery, Theft of Property, Possession and Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of a felony. The 29 year old is originally from Saipan.

Officer Balajadia reports that the suspect was armed with a knife when he entered the game room shortly before 1am and “robbed the establishment..”   He then fled on foot toward Adrian Sanchez Street in Harmon.

Officers from the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct responded and apprehended Fejeran.  Balajadia says that witnesses identified him, and the robbery was recorded by the game room’s video cameras.

Monday afternoon he was officially charged in Superior Court with Second Degree Robbery and a Special Allegation of Possession and Use of a Deadly Weapon.

According to the Magistrate report, Fejaran was wearing a mask when he entered the Game Room about 11:30pm Sunday night. He was armed with a knife and ordered an employee, Dae Sub Chang,  to empty the cash register. he ten grabbed the cash on the desktop inside the cashier’s office and fled. Chang said his mask slipped and she was able to see the suspects face and recognized him as a customer who had come into the game room earlier that night.

When police apprehended Fejeran, he admitted he used a 12-inch knife to scare the cashier and ask for money, but since she didn’t give him any money, he took the cash that was on the table.

ARMED ROBBERY / CARNIVAL GAME ROOM, UPPER TUMON

SYNOPSIS OF EVENTS:
At about 1 a.m., 09/09/13, officers recieved a call of a reported robbery at the Carnival Game Room in Upper Tumon at knife point by unknown male individual, who departed the area toward Adrian Sanchez Street, Harmon.

Tumon / Tamuning Precinct units responded and later apprehended the suspect, namely June Fejeran. The investigation revealed that the suspect entered the establishment earlier with the same attire.

The suspect departed the area, but returned a short time later armed with a knife and robbed the establishment. The suspect departed the area shortly thereafter. When the suspect was apprehended by the police, a field identification was initiated, where the victim and witnesses positively identified the suspect. The video footage at location also recorded:

1. The suspect first entering the establishment.
2. When the suspect departed the establishment.
3. When the suspect returned and robbed the establishment at knife point.
4. When the suspect fled the area toward Adrian Sanchez Street, Harmon.
