GPD Spokesman A.J. Balajadia states in a release that he is “unable to disclose the connection she has in this case …  since there is an on going internal affairs case looking into the arrest of Captain Santos.”

Capt. Santos was booked and released Thursday on a charge of theft by receiving.

[Bruce S. Taitano]

3.  Jesse Anthony Diaz Salanga, m/Cham-Fil/26/Sinajana was arrested for Theft of Property by Receiving Stolen Property.

In his release, Officer Balajadia states that the arrests are in connection with a series 3 of burglaries which occurred at a home in Asan. The first burglary was reported last September, another occurred in November and the third burglary occurred in January of this year.

In the January burglary, an iPad was stolen. It had a tracking device on it which led investigators to a home in Agana Heights and resulted in the arrest of Raymond Leon Guerrero Baza.

Officer Balajadia states that Baza, in turn,  told investigators that he purchased the IPad from Bruce Stephen Taitano, who was then arrested.

Balajdia says the investigation “indicated that Mr. Taitano had burglarized a residence in Asan on three different occasions. The items stolen in the first burglary, September 2012 were sold.”

And subsequently,  Jesse Anthony Diaz Salanga, and GPD Capt. Kim Santos were arrested.

Captain Santos is being represented by Attorney Peter C. Perez who refutes all the allegations against his client.
