VIDEO: GPD Gets 2 More Patrol Vehicles, Paid for With TAF Funds

Guam – The Guam Police Department has taken possession of 2 new patrol vehicles, paid for with funds from the Tourist Attraction Fund [TAF].

The 2014 Ford Explorers were unveiled during a ceremony at Police headquarters in Tiyan Wednesday afternoon.

Governor Calvo said increased arrivals have boosted the income of the TAF, making possible the purchase of the new vehicles. And he vowed to provide GPD with the additional resources the Department needs to protect our visitor industry and the residents of Guam.

The new vehicles will be assigned to the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct.  The price tag for each one was about $36-thousand.

GVB General Manager Karl Pangelinan said that was a small price to pay to protect the visitors to our island.
