Guam – Businesses interested in bidding on the security systems contract for the island’s public schools will be able to review the bid specifications online in about a week.
General Services Agency Chief Procurement Officer Claudia Acfalle says she is currently working on the bid specifications based on recommendations from GovGuam agencies that have already procured security systems.
GSA is handling the procurement of $800,000 worth of security equipment for the Department of Education under the Secure Our Schools Act. Acfalle says interested bidders will be able to comment on the specifications and ask questions before the formal invitation for bid is announced
The Secure Our Schools Act was passed by the legislature last April in an attempt to put a stop to the frequent vandalisms at DOE schools.
