Guam – GTA Teleguam has been named a “21st Century Visionary” for its commitment to the University Of Guam’s 60th Anniversary Capital Campaign.
The UOG Endowment Foundation this morning recognized GTA’s commitment of $200,000 during a ceremony in the UOG President’s Conference Room. Under its commitment GTA will give $100,000 of in-kind services to the university and another $100,000 in cash over the next five years.
“Although it counts as charity we look at it more as an investment in the future of the island.” UOG President Dr. Robert Underwood said of the gift.
GTA President and CEO Robert Haulbrook Jr. agrees, saying the donation will help improve the workforce.
“We have a number of employees who went to UOG who are currently at UOG and of course we want to have other opportunities for our employees to find ways to seek new degrees to advance their careers” Haulbrook told PNC.
GTA is now one of the biggest contributors to UOG’s 60th Anniversary Capital Campaign.
