VIDEO: GVB Donates Jet Ski to Department of Parks and Recreation to Improve Safety Efforts in Tumon Bay

Guam – The Guam Visitors Bureau with the help of the Offices of the Governor and Lt. Governor donated a jet ski to the Department of Parks and Recreation this morning.

The $15-thousand jet ski was presented at a small ceremony held at the Governor Joseph Flores Memorial Park.

GVB Public Information Officer Josh Tyquiengco said the Yamaha Wave Runner would be used to patrol Tumon Bay and help with ongoing safety efforts the local community and visitors.

Tyquiengco said, “Currently DPR only has one jet ski that is functional so there is a need for more jet skis here in Tumon Bay. The jet ski that we donated is a Yamaha Wave Runner which is one of the top of the line jet skis that will be used here in Tumon Bay to monitor visitors and help with safety efforts. I think it’s a great way to continue to give back to the community and just part of our overall safety initiatives that GVB is doing at the moment.”

Tyquiengco adds that GVB hopes to continue to give more donations of jet skis when funding is available.
