Guam – Hundreds of people turned out at the George Washington High School track Friday night for the annual “Relay for Life”.
The all night event helps raise funds to fight cancer. Donors pledged their support for each lap completed.
So round-and-round they went, throughout the night. Many were cancer survivors or have family members suffering from cancer. Among them, Triny Aguon whose daughter Jamie is a cancer survivor who walked the track Friday night with her family.
In all, the 72 teams that participated in the Relay for Life raised $460-thousand dollars for the American Cancer Society this year.
