VIDEO: Hyatt Regency Celebrates 20 Years on Guam

Guam – The Hyatt Regency celebrated its 20 year Anniversy on Guam Tuesday night.

Executive Assistant Manager of Sales and Marketing Sophia Chu says they will be closing their lobby and 2 restaurants, Al Dente and La Mirenda, and turning the hotel into museum for one night only. She mentions they started the 20th anniversary celebration in April with different promotions and specials each month.

Chu says it’s been quite a journey and they can’t wait to celebrate with over 500 people that are expected to come to their special event.

“We want to celebrate the past 20 years of history,” said Chu. “So we will have photos throughout, all of the past GMs, a different event that we’ve had in the hotel. We have a special area called ‘Typhoon Alley,’ which highlights the period we were in Typhoon Alley and had typhoons we experienced throughout the hotel. So guests will really be transported over the past 20 years.”

Chu thanks the entire community for its support and looks forward to another 20 years on Guam.
