Guam – Students at JQ San Miguel Elementary School gave a warm send-off to a classmate who is traveling off-island for cancer treatment.
2nd grader Jaython De Jesus was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
The students shared a special cheer and the cultural dance group Manaotao Agila performed during Friday’s send-off rally.
Guam Cancer Care is proving patient navigation and direct financial assistance for Jaython’s family. The Edward M. Calvo Cancer Foundation, through a local partnership with the St. Baldrick’s foundation, is covering the airfare for Jaython and his father to go to City of Hope Hospital in California.
