VIDEO: JTWC Upgrades Disturbance to Tropical Depression 3W; Projected to Track North, Passing Well East of Guam on Monday


Guam – The Joint Typhoon Warning Center [JTWC] in Honolulu has upgraded that tropical disturbance that has been lingering southeast of Guam into Tropical Depression 3W.

As of 10am this morning Guam time, the JTWC fixed the center of circulation near 9N and 147E, about 308 nautical miles south-southeast of Guam.

It has maximum sustained winds of 25 knots with gusts up to 35 knots.

The JTWC reports that Tropical Depression 3W has tracked west-northwestward at 3 knots over the past six hours.  But the forecast track projects that it will take on a more northerly course and pass east of the Marianas Monday.
