Guam – A resolution passed by the Mayors’ Council of Guam three weeks ago in support of the Governor’s bond borrowing plan was brought into question at the Mayors’ Council Monthly Meeting today.
Resolution 11-03 was listed among the unfinished business in today’s agenda for the Mayor’s Council regular monthly meeting.
The resolution was passed during a meeting at Adelup that was announced to all the Mayors in a fax sent by Agana Heights Mayor Paul McDonald on August 17th. Mayors Bob Lizama and Jessy Gogue today expressed frustration about the way the resolution was introduced and passed.
“For the 15 yrs i’ve served in this body I’ve never seen such actions taken,” said Lizama.
Gogue argued to the council that the meeting was not called by an officer and that the resolution wasn’t even on the agenda.
