VIDEO: New X-Ray System for Guam Customs Will Improve Detection of Illicit Contraband

Guam – Guam Custom and Quarantine Agency and Governor Eddie Calvo unveiled two new X-ray devices to be put into service.

Both devices are products of Rapiscan Systems. One of the devices is an X-ray with a 5000 pound capacity that can X-ray from above and on the side to improve detection of illicit substances.

The other device is a vehicle with an X-ray that allows mobile customs inspection across the island.

The vehicle comes fitted with a back-up gas tank greatly increasing the mobility of the X-ray unit.
