VIDEO: Ancient Remains, More Snails, Prompt Stop Work Order on Portion of Ylig Bridge Project

Guam- The remains of an ancient Chamorro and the discovery of more endangered snails have prompted a stop work order on a portion of the Ylig Bridge bridge repair project. Its not clear yet what if any impact that will have on the scheduled opening of the Layon landfill later this year.

A stop work order remains in effect for the area where the remains were uncovered. Its not clear yet what if any delay that will cause Under a Memorandum of Agreement, all remains will be re-interred in a memorial to be constructed at the site as part of the final project.
