Guam – The Department of PublicWorks will be celebrating as this week was declared Public Works Week 2014 at a proclamation signing held this morning.
For PublicWorks Week, DPW employees will be participating in competitive games and sports to have fun and build camaraderie.
DPW Director Carl Dominguez made the opening remarks in the ceremony, where he recognized and thanked all the employees for the work they have accomplished. He said DPW will be working even harder in the years ahead with the Tiyan Parkway, Hamburger Road and bridge projects.
A Legislative Resolution was presented to DPW by Senator Tina Muna Barnes, followed by the proclamation signing and a ribbon cutting ceremony for the One-Stop Building Permit Center.
A Click-It-Or-Ticket Mobilization Campaign launched by DPW’s Office of Highway Safety will be observed next week.
