Guam- Rear Admiral Tilghman Payne is the new Joint Region Marianas Commander. He relieved Rear Admiral Paul Bushong today (Friday) in Nimitz Hill. However, before Bushong gave up his duties, he spoke strongly about how the military buildup has been handled on Guam and told local leaders to “man up.”

Rear Admiral Bushong has been nominated for promotion to Vice Admiral. He will be serving as U.S. Security Coordinator for the Israel-Palestinian Authority.
