Guam – Thousands of residents, and tourists, gathered along the Tumon shoreline Tuesday night to ring in the New Year with an impressive fire-works display.
The sky lit-up over Tumon as 2013 faded into the past, and 2014 dawned.
Light showers seemed to have caused some delays during the show but, eventually, just about all 3-thousand rockets got-off. And many said they were awed by the display.
This was the first time that fireworks were launched from barges anchored in the middle of Tumon Bay, rather than from Ypao park. ShowPro Pyros put on the show.
There were 3 other firework displays on New Year’s Eve. One at the Leo Palace Resort, another at the Beach Bar at Gun Beach, and a fourth display took place at the Sheraton Laguna Resort.
