Guam – Outstanding hospitality employees and tour companies were recognized for conveying the Hafa Adai Spirit to the island’s guests during the Golden Latte Awards at the Sheraton Resort Today.
The Golden Latte Awards are presented each year by the Guam Visitors Bureau and the Guam Hotel and restaurant association. Ray Gibson of the K57 Breakfast Show was the host of today’s event which recognized tourism efforts in 2013.
2013 was the fourth best year in Guam’s history for tourism and record arrivals have already been noted in 2014.
While mentioning the new charter that begins flying from China to Guam tomorrow, Acting Governor Ray Tenorio said Guam’s tourism industry continues to grow.
“Governor Calvo’s going to be flying in tomorrow night with our first charter from China its gonna come here every fifth day,” Tenorio announced. “That’s a great thing for our island.”
