VIDEO: Typhoons Hold Off Four Stars, GHC Results

Tamuning, Guam – Bud Light Golden Hoops Classic (GHC) 2012 Fall Tournament hosted four games on Wednesday night at Tamuning Gym saving the best for last in the 18 plus men’s varsity division between the Tamuning Typhoons and Four Stars Club.

The Typhoons held off a come from behind win against a feisty Four Stars 37-35. Typhoons Pieerce Evangelista and Andrew Borja led the offensive scoring with 12 points and 11 points apiece. Four Stars Teks Erwin scored 11 points and Jayme Saperna chipped in nine points.

18 plus men’s varsity division:

Inarajan Hawks 46, Malesso Rebels 40. Hawks P.J. Chargualaf scored 14 points followed by Dominic Sablan with 10 points. Rebels Baaron Quinata had 12 points and teammate Jordan Chargualaf added 11 points.

Andersen Defenders 69, GWC 45. Defenders Jon Lim scored a game high 18 points and teammate Ollie Bradley scored 15 points. GWC’s Melsior Kerman Jr. 15 points and Rey Sablan scored 11 points.

40 plus men’s competitive division:

Team Fire 79, Inarajan Hawks 52. Team Fire Danny Cepeda was the overall top scorer with 31 points while Hawks Ben Meno and Frankie Taitague scored 16 points and 11 points apiece.
