VIDEO: Umatac Residents Speak Out On Erosion, Flooding & School Shutdown Concerns

Guam- With the possible shutdown of FQ Sanchez Elementary, as well as major flooding and erosion problems, residents in the village of Umatac are reaching out to the island’s new leaders to help them with their concerns.

However, some southern residents wonder if progress will finally be made after years of being ignored or will their voices continue to fall on deaf ears.

The senatorial delegation say they will take Umatac’s concerns back to legislature. Meanwhile, students will also be planning a letter writing campaign to Guam’s leaders.
