Guam – Tony Babauta is back on Guam.
He gave the Presidential Lecture at the University of Guam Thursday afternoon.
The Agat native is the former Assistant Secretary for Insular Affairs at the U.S. Interior Department. He stepped down last February to take a job at a lobbying firm in Washington.
He told the students at the start of his lecture that his goal during his talk was to give them a sense of what he did, and what its like working in the nation’s capital.
Babauta was the 21st speaker in the ongoing UOG Presidential lecture series.
