VIDEO: Victims of Fena Massacre Remembered

Guam – The victims of the massacre at Fena Cave were remembered this past Saturday.


More than 30 young men and women from Agat and Sumay were killed by Japanese soldiers in the caves near fena lake on July 19th 1944. Naval Base Guam allowed island residents onto naval magazine to honor the victims of the massacre.

Dozens of family members of the victims participated, along with Governor Calvo, First Lady Christine Calvo and Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo, along with island military leaders and the Japan Consulate General of Guam.
The visit to Fena was followed by a memorial service at the Old Agat Cemetery.
