“Public service is the term we frequently use to describe anyone who provides a service to the public without a direct cost. Of course, the cost appears to be only indirect especially in the case with government employees and elected officials. In reality, it is public service at public expense. This means that those in leadership positions have a responsibility to explain their service on a regular and open basis…”
