May 06, 2014- Tamuning, Guam – Vincent Peter Rosario Camacho, who molested three young female children, was convicted last Friday of charges brought forth against him, including two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct and four counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct, all as first degree felonies.

Two of the victims, who were 8 years-old and 4 years-old at the time of the molestation, reported the incident to a family member while at a family gathering for Christmas.

The 8 year-old victim reported that earlier in the month, Camacho instructed her and the 4-year old to follow him into a room; both refused. The 8 year-old could hear the sobs and crying of the 4 year-old after Camacho grabbed her hand, led her to another room, and molested her. Later that same day, Camacho molested the 8-year old. He threatened her saying that he would spank and whip her if she told anyone about the penetration.

Just before reporting it to Guam Police Officers, a family meeting took place with the two young victims, their mother and other female family members. It was at this meeting that a third victim came forward and relayed that she, too, had been touched by Camacho when she was about 4 or 5 years-old.

Camacho’ sentencing is scheduled for August 06, 2014 where he faces anywhere from 15 years to life imprisonment for the molestation of his young, innocent victims.

“The courageous testimony of all three victims guarantees this pedophile stays locked behind bars and far away from the children of our island for a long time,” said prosecuting attorney Liz Vasilliades.

The Office of the Attorney General will seek life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
