This past weekend Guam Visitors Bureau welcomed international visitors and locals to experience the Visit Guam 2016 Expo.

The Micronesia Mall Center Court was filled with cultural activities, exhibitors, and entertainment all in the name Guam. Miss Universe Guam, Miss World Guam, and Miss Earth Guam greeted attendees with shell leis as the event kicked off. Governor Calvo attended the event and signed a proclamation declaring the Visit Guam 2016 plan. Senator Tina Muna Barnes joined Governor Calvo in the declaration signing and helped proclaim the event as an official plan for Guam. The Guam Visitors Bureau’s new official calendar of events was released and GVB launched their new campaign, “Only on Guam”, where locals and visitors can share the unique activities and experience offered “only on Guam”. Affiliates from Japan, Taiwan, Korea, Russia, Hong Kong, and China were present as GVB furthers their plans to make Guam a coveted destination for travelers. The event prepares visitors and locals as 2016 will be a year of many signature events including the largest pacific island event on Guam, the Festival of the Pacific Arts.
