Guam – The wife of the 70 year old victim of Saturday’s tragic triple fatality says her husband Felizardo Baes was a careful driver and a slow driver.
70 Felizado Baes was alone in his 1996 Toyota Corolla when he was hit broadside by a 1998 Toyota Tercel at the intersection of Route 1 and Wusstig Road.
Baes was pronounced dead at GMH Hospital at 2:30 am Sunday morning.
Leticia Baes told PNC News that the intersection “is not really dangerous, if only drivers are careful. They are working there,” she said “there is a sign there to slow down.”
About the driver of the Tercel who struck her husband’s car, Leticia Baes said, “They are not supposed to run too fast, I don’t know if they were drunk” she said, “but they were flying. They didn’t see my husband turning …. my husband is a careful driver, a slow driver,” she said.
The 2 men in the Toyota Tercel were also killed. One was 28 and the other was 30. GMH Nursing Supervisor Bill Toves told PNC News Sunday they were cousins, but they have not yet been identified by authorities.
