NWS predicts the diminishing winds to be light on Saturday.
Guam – The National Weather Service predicts winds to gradually drop starting today (Thursday) until Saturday as tropical depression 01W moves towards west-southwest.
In its area forecast discussion released this morning, NWS says, ”The strong and gusty winds due to the combination of 01w and high pressure northeast of Guam will gradually diminish Thursday and Friday.” NWS also says , “The wind advisory currently in effect is expected to be dropped today as 01w continues to move westward and the high moves east.”
However NWS notes in the discussion that due to the shear line approaching the Marianas, breezy weather with increase chance of rain is expected return on Sunday.
