Winners of the 1st Annual Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition


Guam – Ambros Inc. has announced the winners of its 1st Annual Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition, held at the Hilton Tree Bar on Tuesday, June 11.

Guam’s best bartenders, armed with their skills and experience, participated in the Bacardi Cocktail Competition and were tasked to create cocktails that
featured Bacardi Mojito, Bombay Sapphire or Grey Goose.

Abel Inocencio of Ralphy’s created his winning cocktail, Bong’s Mojito, and was hailed the 2013 Best Bacardi Mojito in Guam. As part of this recognition, Abel Inocencio received a $300 cash prize, trophy and banner to commemorate his achievement.

Overall categories the participants competed in were “Most Creative” for Bacardi Mojito, “Most Imaginative” for Bombay Sapphire and “Most Original” for Grey Goose.

Qualifying cocktails were judged based on its technicality as well as the ingenuity and innovation that were involved in its preparation and presentation.
Andrew “A.J.” Nenedog of Sea Grill took the recognition of first place with his winning combination of cocktails: Bacardi Manggito, Bombay Salute and Grey Goose Calamantini. He was awarded a $500 cash prize, trophy and the title of “2013 1st Annual

2nd Place Overall Winner – Keala Hetlag

Second place went to Keala Hetlage of Green Lizard for her refreshing take on the following cocktails: Bacardi Class, Pink Goose Punch and Summer Sapphire. She, as well, received $200 cash and a trophy.
