A 22-year-old woman has been arrested for stabbing a man in the arm with a knife.

Guam Police Department officers responded to the Guam Regional Medical City in Dededo regarding an alleged stabbing complaint on May 14.

According to a magistrate’s complaint filed in the Superior Court of Guam, the reporting person, on behalf of the victim, said that the victim was assaulted with a knife by Destiny Denise Raquelle Barber.

Barber is accused of punching the victim’s face, grabbed a lanyard with keys and struck the victim on the arm, biting the victim in the right arm, and gripping the victim by the neck and digging her fingernails into his neck.

She is also accused of telling the victim “I’m done with this …, I’m going to kill you!”

The victim feared for his life and safety because of past altercations.

Court documents state that the victim, while getting ready for work, Barber grabbed a kitchen knife and pressed it against the victim’s neck.

Barber was accused of making slashing motions with her hand while holding the knife he was walking away, which resulted in two slashes to his upper left arm.

She stabbed the same arm and walked away, according to charging documents.

A knife with a green handle was confiscated by police.

The victim had redness to his upper right arm, what appears to be a human bite mark, scratches to his arm and neck, and bandage cover the laceration inflicted by Barber.

Court documents noted that the victim had been assaulted by Barber in the past. In November of last year, Barber punched the victim’s jaw and dug her fingernails into his neck.

Barber said yes, when asked if the knife was used on the victim.

She was charged with aggravated assault as a third degree felony with special allegation of possession or use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, family violence as a third degree felony with special allegation of possession or use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, two counts of family violence as a misdemeanor, and family violence as a misdemeanor.
