Woman In Yona’s Ebenezer Store Robbed at Gun Point SUNDAY


Guam – A woman was robbed at gun point inside the Ebenezer Store in Yona early Sunday morning by a man brandishing a silver handgun.

Sunday’s robbery follows the armed robbery of another  woman outside Hagatna’s Mermaid Tavern Friday night, also by a man using a silver handgun.

In the Sunday case, Guam Police Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that the woman was inside the store when she was approached by a man with a gun who demanded money from the cash register.

Hagatna Precinct Officers responded to the call about 5:40 am Sunday morning.

The suspect is described as being between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall and dark complexioned. He was wearing  green basketball shorts with white stripes on the bottom and sides. and he was wearing a grey colored shirt which he wrapped around his face.

Officer Balajadia reports that the suspect fled on foot and the victim was not injured.

The description and MO is similar to the description given in the Friday night armed robbery of the woman outside the Mermaid Tavern except that that man was described as being possibly Micronesian and this man is described as being possibly Chamorro.



Sunday, June 12, 2011, 5:40am, officers responded with the Hagatna Precinct Command responded to a reported robbery at Ebenezer Store, Yona.  The victim reported she was approached by a male individual brandishing a silver handgun demanding money from the cash register.  The suspect is described as;

male / Possibly Chamorro / 5’6″ – 5’7″ / 130lbs.,
Dark Complexioned / Light Grey t-shirt / Green Basketball shorts with white stripes on the bottoms and sides / a Grey colored shirt wrapped around his head and face.
