The Guam Police Department has arrested a 32-year-old woman for family violence.

Police say that on Wednesday, January 6, their officers were dispatched to a residence in Mangilao after a disturbance complaint was reported at about 8:30 a.m.

Officers arrived at the scene and observed Joyce Torres Taijeron punching her boyfriend.

Then police met with a witness who stated that Taijeron allegedly punched her boyfriend countless times, chasing him to the playground, then began chasing him back to the third floor, and started punching him again.

The witness also shared that this is an ongoing situation, with Taijeron arguing with current and past boyfriends.

The victim told police that he and Taijeron were arguing over him taking her vehicle keys and car battery.

Taijeron claims he does this because he did not want her to leave or go anywhere without him.

Taijeron has been charged with family violence as a misdemeanor.

She was booked and confined.
