A man is behind bars after he allegedly assaulted his wife on Christmas Day causing her to jump out of the car.
Guam – What started out as a nice Christmas meal quickly got out of hand after one to many alcoholic beverages. According to a magistrate complaint, Enyong Jin and his wife were having dinner at a restaurant, during which time Jin and the restaurant owner both became intoxicated.

Court documents state that Jin’s wife told police that she was paying for the bill when the restaurant owner stumbled and accidentally touched her buttocks. This made Jin angry and according to the victim he repeatedly slapped her as they drove from the restaurant.

She further alleges that Jin threatened to “drive fast on the road and let her die.” Fearing for her life she jumped out of the car and began to walk away. Jin, however, grabbed her and dragged her back to the car where he allegedly choked her for about 30 seconds according to police. After allegedly choking the victim the defendant continued to slap the victim. It wasn’t until the Jin and the victim reached a club in Tumon that she was able to escape.

Jin has been charged with Family violence as a third degree felony. He was booked and confined.
