The Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce held a news conference at the Dusit Thani to introduce the four women who will be featured at their annual empowerment conference on Thursday, March 5.
The conference is entitled “Fanachu Famalåo’an: Women Rising.” The theme of the conference is “Coming Home.”
The conference will be held at the Dusit and will feature four women born and raised on Guam who have gone on to successful careers stateside and now they’ve come back home to share their success stories with the women of Guam.
The four entrepreneurs are: Chloe Kernaghan, the owner of SKY TING Yoga Studio; Marieta Limuaco, a Senior Product Analyst at Nike; Jessica Ignacio Mesa who is a project manager at Saatchi & Saatchi; and Eveline Campus, the ‘Chief Mom’ at the Blue Ocean Medical Group.
“What I’ll be talking about tomorrow is essentially being a generalist, in that its OK to do that but you don’t have to have a career that focuses on one thing. You can wear many hats and still be successful,” Limuaco said.
Jessica Ignacio Mesa, project manager at Saatchi & Saatchi, said: “I will be sharing about leaning into our cultural values and how I’ve used those tools to become successful in California. And really just applying everything that we’ve learned being here, and being raised here on Guam, and utilizing that to become resourceful at what you do and just owning being women on Guam.”
The all-day conference will include presentations from all four women as well as do-it-yourself workshops featuring local entrepreneurs. Fanachu Famalåo’an kicks off Thursday morning 8 am at the Dusit Thani.
