“Father’s Day 5K, encouraging participants to dedicate their run to a father in their life”
Press Release – TAMUNING — As part of its yearlong event series, PIVOT will host the XTERRA Island Father’s Day 5K, encouraging participants to dedicate their run to a father in their life, according to race director Eric Tydingco.
The event will take place Sunday, June 21 at Two Lovers Point, and will feature a combination on- and off-road course. Show time is at 6 a.m. with the race starting at 7 a.m. Each participant will receive a t-shirt that is able to be personalized, allowing runners to dedicate their run to the person they celebrate on Father’s Day.
“The race has a really unique and fun course, and it’s a little different than most of the usual 5K road races,” said Tydingco. “And we invite everyone to come out and run — not just fathers! It’s a great way for the entire family to kick off their Father’s Day celebrations and give a shout out to the dads in their lives.”
Entry fees are $20 per person, and participation is limited to the first 300 registrants. Online registration is available at XTERRAIsland.com until June 19.
The XTERRA Island Father’s Day 5K is sponsored by United Airlines, Bank of Guam, DOCOMO PACIFIC, Take Care, the stations of KUAM, Marianas Variety, Uno Magazine, TriVision Media, Cherry Media Vision and Hornet Sports.
