Just before noon, traffic stalled along Marine Corps Drive in Yigo just before the Yigo McDonald’s area because of a car crash.
PNC arrived as police and emergency crews arrived at the scene of the crash. At around noon, traffic totally stalled the northbound area and slowed down southbound traffic.
According to preliminary reports, the crash involved a red old model Toyota Corolla that made an unsafe lane change and ended up swerving into southbound traffic and hitting an ACURA RDX SUV on the side driver’s area.
The passengers of the Acura RDX — a mother and son — shared their experience with PNC.
“Me and my mom were driving down the outer lane and a bunch of them were just stopping and just showed,” Patrick said.
Mom Mariebeth said: “Earlier, I thought we were going to die and I said get out! Get out of the car… I opened up.”
A police report has been filed. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported as a result of the crash, according to the preliminary report. (From a report by Mai Habib)
