Man Arrested For Threatening Wife With Machete

Guam – A Yigo man has been booked and confined for allegedly threatening his wife with a machete.

29 year old Harris Ruben Jr. was booked and confined Saturday on charges of Family Violence, Terrorizing, Criminal Mischief and Felonious Restraint.

He was arrested after 2 men flagged down a patrol car about 3 am Saturday morning. He told the Officers that they had just helped a female individual being pursued by her husband who was holding a machete.

One of the male individuals was able to apprehend the husband and removed the machete from him prior to police arrival.

The wife said her husband had threatened to harm her with the machete.

August 22, 2010, at about 7:00 p.m., officers from the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct
Command responded to a disturbance call at JED Apartments in Upper Tumon
where a male individual, later identified as KASTY SELKAR, was possibly
intoxicated and belligerent. During this incident, Mr. Selkar had assaulted an
individual and attempted to assault another individual. He continued to remain
belligerent and uncooperative when the police officers later confronted him. Mr.
Selkar became combative and started to kick and yell at them when placed
inside the patrol vehicle, which resulted in two officers being assaulted.
KASTY SELKAR, Male/Pohnapeian/24 years old, of Yigo, was arrested for
Assault, Assault on a Police Officer (2 counts), Disorderly Conduct, Public
Drunkenness and Resisting Arrest. He was booked and confined.
August 22, 2010 at about 12:50 p.m., officers from the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct
Command responded to a disturbance call at the San Gil Apartments in Harmon.
A male individual, who was possibly intoxicated, began to cause a verbal
altercation with another individual when confronted by the officers. The suspect,
later identified as JACKSON EDWARD, began to challenge one of the officers
before assaulting him.
JACKSON EDWARD, Male/Pohnapeian/36 years old, of Harmon, was arrested
for Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Public Drunkenness and
Disorderly Conduct. He was booked and confined.
At 4:30 p.m., August 21, 2010, STEVEN Q. RABAGO, Male/Guamanian/42
years old, of Yigo, was arrested for Family Violence, Terrorizing, Felonious
Restraint, Stalking and Reckless Conduct while at the Hagatna Precinct.
The arrest was a result of a complaint filed earlier by a woman known to him. The
complaint indicated that Mr. Rabago had shown up at the woman’s residence
and place of employment unannounced. While at her residence, Mr. Rabago
brandished a handgun to keep her from leaving the residence.
He was booked and confined.

Command responded to a disturbance call in the Yigo area.
Two male individuals had flagged down the officers and indicated that they had
assisted a female individual being pursued by her husband who was holding a

her husband had earlier threatened to harm her with the machete, which caused
her to flee from him.

for Assault, Family Violence, Terrorizing, Criminal Mischief and Felonious
